Navigating the podcast concept
The first half of "podcast" implies that you have to have an iPod to listen to one. This is not true. You don't even need a portable music player, although it helps.
The specificity of the name -- and the buzz around it--implies that this is something new and unique. This is not really true. A podcast is just a recording made publicly available via the Web, as recordings have been made available for near as long as there has been a Web.
